Welcome to this section, where you will be treated to a stunning display of pencil drawings showcasing the talented students at Icarus Painting Academy. These pieces, created using graphite pencils on A3 or A4 white paper, exude a hyper-realistic aesthetic. Specifically, the intermediate level courses (term two) heavily focus on pencil portraiture. Yet, what truly impresses is the incredible growth seen in the students' works, thanks to the updated teaching methodology implemented at the academy. Prepare to be amazed by the impressive progress these artists have made.
Moreover, the production of these facial illustrations at such a high standard demands a significant amount of perseverance and meticulousness on the part of the student.
Creating art with graphite pencils minus the traditional use of powder and brushes (as is typically done in charcoal work) is deemed significantly more taxing than charcoal work itself. The student is required to showcase their utmost technical proficiency and finesse in refining and detailing through these exercises:
